AFFTAC Download Page

To use AFFTAC, you must be an authorized user. To receive authorization, provide the following information in an e-mail to Todd Treichel at the AAR Tank Car Safety and Research Project:

• Your Name
• Your Company's Name
• Your Telephone Number

There are two AFFTAC releases currently available:

1 Standard Release (recommended for new users)

This release has been under continual development since 2000, undergoing ongoing enhancements since that time.  It has built-in documentation and a downloadable users manual, which can be accessed through the links below:

Note: The above users manual is formatted for double-sided printing.

2 New Beta Release (for experienced AFFTAC users)

This new release is in Beta test status.  In this release, the main window of the GUI has been slightly reworked for improved flow.  The computational module has a new angular-dependence feature.  This version has no built-in documentation yet, and the manual has not yet been updated to accommodate the changes in the GUI or the angular dependence.  This release is best tested by those experienced with the Standard Release version, since it is similar in many ways to that version, but has yet-to-be documented upgrades and changes.
